Curate at Orchard Town Center

The definition of CURATE is “to pull together, sift through, and select for presentation, as in musical content, or artwork for a gallery.” Every decision at this community has been thoughtfully made in order to exemplify the neighborhood while presenting a sophisticated, artful, modern character for its residents.

For this project we took the iconic confident horizontal elements of classic Prairie-style and created a contemporary interpretation. These features include large floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors to establish the modern indoor-outdoor relationship that attracts so many to Colorado’s foothills. We also designed and installed a custom exhibit called “Equilibrium,” commissioned by local artist Jonathan Saiz. Additional spaces are filled with arid color and rugged texture creating a boutique experience that is unmistakably urban prairie. Matte brickwork, raw woods and intricate mosaic stone pay a modern homage to Colorado’s abundant natural resources. Evocative private spaces offer retreat and personal time. Open communal areas are styled to create space for growing social networks.

Designed with a sense of purpose and permanence, this property takes full advantage of the expansive western views and provides a more personalized experience for young families and hardworking professionals alike.
