Project Story
Once the heart of Governor’s Harbour, the Globe Princess Theatre is being reimagined as a cultural anchor for a new generation. A beloved landmark and lasting legacy of Arthur and Shirley Rolle, the Globe’s revival is about more than restoring a historic place—it is about rekindling its role in the life of the community.
Currently On the Boards, TRIO is designing the theatre in collaboration with local stakeholders, allowing the community, culture, traditions, and history of Governor’s Harbour to help shape its next chapter. Rooted in belonging, generosity, and connection, the Globe is envisioned as a welcoming place where art, education, storytelling, and creativity can bring people together.
Light—both literal and symbolic—guides the design, representing discovery, inspiration, and possibility. By honoring the stories held within the Globe while creating space for new voices to emerge, the project reflects TRIO’s belief in the power of art and design to strengthen community, nurture creativity, and create meaningful connections across generations.
