Mary Schroeder, MBA, CHC
Sr. Manager, Innovation & Strategic Operations
Mary brings over 20 years of senior level experience in business management, economic development, and venture development in corporate and entrepreneurial environments.
In her new role, she facilitates the firm’s operational excellence and client journey initiatives. She has been with TRIO for nearly 2 years, starting as a Business Development Representative before being promoted to Sr. Manager, Innovation & Strategic Operations.
Her past experience includes: working in real estate, business consulting, and management.
Her personal entrepreneurial experience includes a wellness franchise as a Certified Health Coach.
Mary is actively involved in the homebuilding industry; served as Co-Chair of the Denver HBA’s 2022 Innovation Summit, Board Member of the Colorado Springs HBA 2022 Parade of Homes Committee, and member of the Professional Women in Building Council and Sales and Marketing Council. She currently serves as an Advisory Board Member to Indiana University’s Kelly Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation MBA Program. She has been very active as a philanthropic leader with Regis Jesuit High School, Mountain Vista High School, and American Academy.

For Fun: Mary loves hiking, skiing, and SCUBA diving with her husband and 4 sons, spending time with friends, discovering all things wellness, and snapshot photography.
Julie Kopf
Director of Operations, Commercial
Julie has been at TRIO for 3 ½ years, starting as a Project Lead, then being promoted to a Design Director, and now her current role as Director of Operations, Commercial.
Julie brings experience in multi-family, hospitality, and high-end residential interior design to her role. Julie has spent over a decade in the industry and is a true expert when it comes to the design and construction process.
Prior to TRIO, Julie worked as a project manager handling over 30 projects at a time that ranged from commercial to residential design. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.
What are you most excited about?
We all bring different backgrounds to the team which allows us to problem solve at a different level. Through this collaboration on our team, we can provide solutions to help our teams optimize their time and spend the majority of their day designing our amazing projects.
For Fun: Julie loves to spend time with family which includes her husband, Austin and her dog, Dexter. She spends her time-off backcountry, cooking and baking.
Rachel Shoupe
Director of Operations, Model Homes
Rachel brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial, hospitality, residential and model home design to her role as Director of Operations, Model Homes. Her numerous awards for outstanding design include a Model Home Bar Award.
Rachel loves the details of operation management, increasing efficiencies, and solving complicated production puzzles. She also receives great joy in mentoring and sharing her experience with young designers and other industry colleagues.
Rachel likes to make a community impact by volunteering with organizations like Project Angel Heart and her daughter’s school.
A Colorado native, Rachel graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Interior Design.
What are you most excited about?
Working with a talented team of women to make an impact by making processes and procedures more effective and efficient and ultimately providing a Client Experience like no other.
For Fun: Rachel loves to spend weekends in the mountains, hiking, biking, fishing and skiing with her husband, daughter and dogs.
Andy Ilges
BIM Manager
Andy Illges brings nearly 17 years of experience in the industry, including being a licensed architect.
Prior to his role at TRIO, Andy worked for CalisonRTKL and Perkins + Will as an architect and digital practice manager.
He has also worked in corporate commercial, healthcare, high-end residential and civic sectors.
What are you most excited about?
I’m really excited to enhance our client experience through innovation and utilizing state-of-the art practices.
For Fun: Andy is a music lover and enjoys an enriching art scene.
